In-Depth Review
The Future of Tree-Free Writing
Be Rooted has disrupted the stationery market by focusing on inclusivity and radical sustainability. This Desk Set is a testament to circular economy principles, utilizing the fibrous byproduct of agave harvesting in Jalisco, Mexico. By converting what was once agricultural waste into high-quality 100 GSM paper, Be Rooted provides a writing surface that is naturally textured, bleed-resistant, and entirely free from tree pulp.
Innovative Sourcing from Central America
Working directly with agave farmers, Be Rooted ensures that the base material for their paper supports local Mexican economies. This direct-to-farm relationship bypasses traditional paper cartels and provides a secondary income stream for farmers. The set includes a desktop planner, three fluted journals, and a set of bamboo-cased pens, all housed in a recycled cardboard commemorative box.
- Agave fiber paper requires 40% less water than traditional wood pulp.
- Naturally acid-free for archival quality.
- Printed with low-VOC soy inks.
Vegan Heritage
For individuals who have lived a vegan lifestyle for over a decade, the 'hidden' animal ingredients in stationery—such as gelatin sizing or bone-char-based inks—are a constant concern. Be Rooted guarantees a 100% plant-based manufacturing process, from the corn-starch adhesives to the vegetable-based dyes.
