How your values change what you see
A values profile is a filter and a lens at the same time. The filter hides nothing by default — instead, every product card, ranking and comparison gains a match badge showing how well the item lines up with the commitments you selected, plus an explicit conflict flag when something clashes.
Certification switches (Leaping Bunny, Vegan Society, Fair Trade, B Corp, GOTS) are matched against verified registry data, not against marketing copy. Ingredient blocklist entries are matched against the full composition of a product, so a blocked preservative surfaces even when the front of the pack says "clean" or "natural".
Nothing here is a hard ban: you always see the score, the evidence and better-rated alternatives, so you can decide when a trade-off is worth it. Your profile also travels with you into search, category hubs and brand pages.

Do I need an account to use a values profile?+
No. Without an account your profile is stored in this browser and works immediately. Signing in syncs it across devices and keeps it if you clear your browser data.
Does filtering by values hide products?+
No. Products stay visible with a match badge or a conflict flag so you can see the trade-off and the score, rather than being shown a silently shortened list.
How is a match calculated?+
We compare the switches you selected against verified certification data and the product's composition. Verified matches count fully, unverified claims do not count, and a blocked ingredient raises an explicit conflict.
Can I block specific ingredients?+
Yes. Add any ingredient name to your blocklist and every product containing it is flagged across search, rankings, brand pages and comparisons.
Will my values affect the ethics score?+
Never. The 0–100 score is identical for everyone; your profile only changes what is highlighted for you.
