In-Depth Review
Elevate Your Lawn Games with Conscious Craftsmanship
The KORU Complete 12-Player Croquet Set is a masterpiece of sustainable design, moving away from the flimsy plastic sets common in modern retail. Each mallet and ball is turned from FSC-certified sustainable hardwood, ensuring that your leisure time doesn't come at the cost of global forest health. For a retiree downsizing, this set represents the perfect 'forever' outdoor activity—compact enough to store in a small garage but durable enough to entertain grandchildren for decades.
"Our mission was to create a game that lasts a lifetime, reducing the cycle of landfill-bound plastic toys." - Koru Design Team
The set features a classic aesthetic with a modern ethical backbone. The woods are sourced from smallholder managed forests in Southeast Asia, providing stable income for local communities while adhering to strict regenerative forestry practices. The finish is a non-toxic, water-based lacquer that protects the wood without off-gassing harmful VOCs.
| Feature | Material |
|---|---|
| Mallets | FSC Sustainable Hardwood |
| Balls | Compressed Natural Resin |
| Storage | Canvas & Sustainable Pine |
Included in the set are twelve mallets, twelve balls, two stakes, and heavy-duty steel wickets. The entire kit fits into a reinforced organic cotton canvas bag, making it easy to transport to the park or a community green space. Unlike mass-produced sets, the weight distribution in the Koru mallets is professionally balanced, offering a satisfying 'thwack' that plastic alternatives simply cannot replicate.
