In-Depth Review
Indonesian Craftsmanship for Global Travel
For new parents, renting a car during a holiday or visiting family can be a source of anxiety—specifically regarding the 'cleaning fees' associated with strollers, snacks, and muddy gear. LushRubber, based in Bogor, Indonesia, has created a solution with their Travel Edition Mat Protector. Unlike standard PVC mats that off-gas harmful chemicals, these are made from pure, sustainably tapped Hevea brasiliensis (rubber tree) sap.
This specific model is engineered for portability. It is thin enough to be folded into a TSA-compliant travel pouch yet durable enough to withstand the friction of a heavy stroller being loaded into a trunk. Because it is natural rubber, it provides superior grip compared to plastic alternatives, ensuring that diaper bags and baby gear don't slide around during transit.
Supporting Biodiversity and Fair Wages
Indonesia is one of the world's largest rubber producers, but the industry is often fraught with deforestation. LushRubber sets itself apart by sourcing only from FSC-certified plantations that maintain natural forest corridors for local wildlife. Furthermore, they pay a 'Living Wage Premium' to their tappers, ensuring that the workers who harvest the sap are treated fairly.

“Our mission is to replace every toxic plastic car accessory with high-performance, regenerative rubber from our home in Indonesia.”
The mat is naturally antimicrobial and easy to clean with just a damp cloth. For parents on leave, it offers peace of mind that the baby's environment is free from industrial odors and toxins. Its compact size means it can be tossed into a suitcase or the bottom of a stroller for use in taxis, Ubers, or rental vehicles anywhere in the world.

- Comes with a recycled cotton travel bag.
