In-Depth Review
Sustainable Illumination by Gantri
Gantri is revolutionizing how we think about home electronics and lighting. Their Organic Light Lamp is not a mass-produced plastic product shipped in bulk from halfway around the world. Instead, it is 3D-printed on-demand in California using a proprietary material called Gantri Plant Polymer (GPP). This material is primarily derived from corn and sugar beets, making it a bio-based alternative to traditional petroleum plastics.
The design of the Organic Light Lamp features soft, fluid curves that mimic natural forms. Because it is printed to order, there is zero excess inventory and zero waste in the production process. The lighting industry is notorious for chemical coatings; however, Gantri uses water-based paints that are low-VOC and safer for both the factory workers and the air quality in your home.
| Aspect | Traditional Lighting | Gantri Design |
|---|---|---|
| Material | Petroleum Plastic | Sugar/Corn Polymer |
| Production | Mass Injection Mold | 3D Printed On-Demand |
| Coating | Toxic Lacquers | Water-Based Paint |
Inside, the lamp utilizes high-efficiency LED technology designed to last for years. The dimmable switch allows for significant energy savings, letting you adjust the ambiance to your needs. This product is a perfect marriage of high-end independent design and responsible manufacturing, proving that luxury home goods can be sustainable.
- Crafted by independent designers who receive royalties for every sale.
- Biodegradable polymer base that is durable yet eco-friendly.
- Plastic-free packaging made from recycled cardboard.
