In-Depth Review
Redefining Sustainability through Technology
The Rocketbook Core, formerly known as the Everlast, provides a high-tech solution to the problem of paper waste in the office and classroom. Unlike traditional notebooks that are discarded once full, the Rocketbook Core is designed to be the last notebook you will ever need. It features 36 reusable pages made from a unique polyester composite that feels like smooth paper but can be wiped clean with a drop of water. This innovative approach aligns with a circular economy mindset—reducing the demand for raw timber and the energy-intensive process of paper recycling.
Seamless Digital Integration
The true power of the Rocketbook lies in its integration with the Rocketbook App. Each page features a small QR code and seven symbols at the bottom. By marking a symbol, the app automatically routes your scanned document to a specific cloud service such as Google Drive, Dropbox, Evernote, or Slack. This ensures that while the physical page is erased, your digital record remains permanent and organized. This functionality bridges the gap between tactile handwriting and modern digital workflows.
Material Efficiency and Longevity
While the pages are synthetic, the longevity of the product is its primary ethical selling point. One Rocketbook can replace hundreds of traditional notebooks over its lifespan. The brand has also made significant strides in achieving Climate Neutral certification, offsetting the carbon emissions associated with the production and shipping of their hardware. The pens used, Pilot FriXion, are widely available and include refillable options, further reducing plastic waste.
