In-Depth Review
Yop & Tom Sensory Friendly Sketchbook Set – 3-Pack (A4, A5, Pocket) with Kraft Paper Cover & Recycled Paper
Created in partnership with occupational therapists, this sketchbook set is crafted to reduce sensory overload for neurodivergent artists. The paper has a distinctly smooth, low-tooth finish that glides under pencil, pen, or marker without the scratchy texture that can be distracting or uncomfortable. The sewn binding allows the book to open completely flat, eliminating the need to press down on the spine — a common frustration for those with fine motor or sensory sensitivities.
The covers are made from unbleached kraft paper, chosen for its matte, non-reflective surface that reduces glare and visual stimulation. Each set includes three sizes: an A4 for detailed work, an A5 for quick sketches, and a pocket size for on-the-go ideas. All paper is 100% post-consumer recycled and FSC certified, with a natural cream tone that is gentle on the eyes and easy on the planet.
Yop & Tom is a women-owned brand based in Portland, Oregon, committed to using only non-toxic glues and vegetable-based inks. The entire production chain is carbon-neutral, and the brand donates 1% of sales to environmental art programs.
