Brand matchup FAQ

How do you decide which brand is more ethical?+

Every brand is scored with the same 0–100 methodology across certifications, sourcing, labour, environmental impact and transparency. A matchup simply averages the scores of each brand's tracked products and shows where the gap comes from — no editorial preference, no paid placement.

Why does a brand have only a few products tracked?+

Scores are built from products we have verified evidence for. A brand with fewer tracked products still gets a fair average, but the comparison is more reliable when both sides have several products listed.

Can I compare two brands that aren't listed here?+

Yes. Any two brands in our database can be compared by visiting /vs/brand-a-vs-brand-b directly, using their names in lowercase with hyphens.

Are brand comparisons sponsored?+

No. Matchups are generated automatically from the brands with the most tracked products, and the winner is decided by score. Outbound retailer links may be affiliate links, but they never influence a verdict.
