In-Depth Review
Addressing the Plastic Crisis in Pet Care
Every year, billions of plastic pet waste bags end up in landfills, where they take centuries to decompose and release microplastics into the soil. The Original Poop Bags company was founded to address this specific environmental failure. Their Bamboo & Bio-Based bags represent the gold standard in sustainable waste management for pet owners.
Why Bamboo?
Bamboo is one of the most renewable resources on earth, requiring no pesticides and very little water to grow. By incorporating bamboo fibers into their bio-based resin, these bags achieve a thickness and durability that rivals traditional polyethylene bags without the environmental cost.

Beyond the product itself, the brand is a member of 1% for the Planet, meaning they donate a portion of all annual sales to environmental nonprofits. They have also partnered with organizations like the Jane Goodall Institute to support wildlife conservation. Their commitment to ethics extends to their workforce, maintaining fair labor practices in their US-based distribution centers.
