In-Depth Review
Solving the Sustainability Crisis in Pet Food
Pet food consumption is responsible for approximately 25-30% of the environmental impact associated with meat production in the US. Wild Earth addresses this by providing a complete, high-protein kibble derived entirely from plants and fungi. This radical approach significantly reduces land, water, and CO2 usage compared to traditional beef or chicken-based pet foods.
Complete Amino Acid Profile
One common misconception is that dogs cannot thrive on plant-based diets. However, dogs are biological omnivores. Wild Earth's formula is expertly crafted to ensure a complete amino acid profile, including essential nutrients like taurine and L-carnitine, using yeast and vegetable proteins as the base.
- Main protein source: Dried Yeast (Koji), which provides a meaty umami flavor dogs love.
- Zero animal by-products or 'mystery meats'.
- Contains prebiotics and fiber for optimal digestive health.
- Reduced risk of meat-based allergens which cause itchy skin.
| Environmental Factor | Wild Earth vs. Meat-based |

"We can love our pets and the planet at the same time. We don't have to choose between their health and the environment." — Ryan Bethencourt, CEO
By removing the factory farming element, Wild Earth ensures that no animals are harmed in the production of your pet's meal. This makes it the highest-rated product for animal welfare in our index.
